Eric is a crocodile who has ten million friends!
(OK I have exaggerated - but for now pretend!)
He came down from the Top End when he was but just a lad
He'd eaten up some people which he thought don't taste too bad!
And then he was confined within a croc farm with some friends -
The lady crocs were in for shocks - he bit them all no end!
They said he was a naughty boy - so he must be removed
But Eric said: "My naughtiness has yet to be quite proved!"
Injustice made our Eric mad - he got into a fight -
He grabbed a lady crocodile and held on very tight!
But mighty Eric has a heart and didn't snap too hard
And just for one brief moment our Eric dropped his guard;
And THAT is when the female croc decided she'd bite HIM -
And so our gorgeous Eric ended up minus one limb!
Of course this happened years ago when he was not so old,
When he was so much shorter and less fearsome I am told;
Now Eric's Sixty years of age and still he's going strong
(We're talking 'bout the crocodile who's minus just one thong!);
He lives alone, cos he's still prone, to eat up who he needs
That's why Eric's keeper is so careful when he feeds!
For if the mighty Eric grabs his keeper in a fight,
And even if our Eric doesn't hold him very tight,
The keeper couldn't manage to escape or even swim
And even more unlikely, bite off yet another limb!
 So let us raise our glasses, or at least one mighty cheer
For Eric on his Sixtieth as he adds on one year!
