The 2010 season of popular television show Australia’s Got Talent premiered on the Seven Network last night to a massive national audience. The acts that performed were extremely diverse, ranging from 12 year old musical theatre singer Brianna to 15 year old Bobby Andonou, who floored the judges with his rendition of “Hallelujah”.

Performing right next to them was the Australian Reptile Park’s Ranger Mick and his alligator, Rosie. Ranger Mick showed the audience who’s the boss and Rosie managed to plant a kiss on judge Kyle Sandiland’s cheek. She didn’t manage to secure his vote, but judges Danni Minogue and Brian McFadden voted Ranger Mick through to the next round.

Mary Rayner, General Manager at the Australian Reptile Park commented that “Ranger Mick has been the Reptile Park’s reptile whisperer presenting shows at the Park for the past 15 years. His humour and animal tricks have enriched the visitor experience and his interaction with reptiles has helped us position ourselves as Australia’s friendly hands-on Zoo. We wish him all the very best in the next round and beyond.”

Host Grant Denyer said “this is their chance to follow their dream” and Ranger Mick is now a step closer to winning the $250,000 prize.
