Meet some Tassie Devil Joeys!
Our Tasmanian devil joeys, Bert & Ernie, have arrived, and you can meet them! During this 20-minute immersive experience, get up close with these adorable joeys and learn about the species while you hold them whilst they are snuggled up in their hand-knitted pouch. Our experienced keeper will share fascinating facts about these iconic creatures and explain how we contribute to their conservation. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture some unforgettable moments with these precious devils!

Tassie Devil Encounter Details
- Price: $90pp (does not include park admission)
- Session time: Daily at 10:30am & 1:00pm from 27th September to 12th October 2025.
- Duration: 20 minutes
- Age limit: For ages 4 years+
- Group limit: Max. 6 people per session
Please Note
- Enclosed shoes must be worn during the encounter
- Only paying participants will be able to attend this encounter (unless otherwise stated)
- Guests must be at reception for their designated encounter time allotment
- Any accessibility requirements must be noted on your booking, in order for us to make appropriate arrangements for your encounter
Frequently Asked Questions
No, our animal encounter prices do not include general admission to the Park. Admissions tickets can be purchased in your checkout.
Our Animal Encounters can be booked for people ages 4+. Please note that participants under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who has also paid for the experience and purchased entry tickets.
Suitable and comfortable clothing and footwear must be worn on the day. We recommend long pants to avoid any scratches.
If at the time of your encounter there is extreme weather or other conditions, the encounter will be cancelled to ensure the wellbeing of our animals.
Bookings for Animal Encounters are non-refundable. In the event that you cannot attend your booked time, we will endeavour to arrange another time, subject to availability.
