The Australian Reptile Park is home to an incredible lagoon filled with over 50 mighty American Alligators and now you can experience them like never before in our behind-the-scenes Alligator Encounter!
This once-in-a-lifetime experience begins with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the alligator feeding, where you’ll get closer than ever to these impressive predators. Watch in awe as our keepers demonstrate the raw power of the gators during an action-packed feeding. Then, the thrill really begins as you step out onto the specially designed jetty over the alligator lagoon and have the opportunity to feed the alligators yourself under the careful guidance of our expert keepers.
The encounter doesn’t end there! After meeting the giants of the lagoon, you’ll have the chance to get up close to a baby alligator for an unforgettable photo opportunity. This special moment lets you see the gentler side of these incredible reptiles and gives you the perfect keepsake of your adventure.

Alligator Encounter Details
- Price: $150 per person
- Session time: Every day at 12:30pm (meet at reception 20 minutes prior)
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Age limit: Strictly 18 years+
- Group limit: Max. 2 people per session
Please Note
- Please ensure you arrive at Reception no later than 20 minutes before the start of the Encounter as you will receive a safety briefing from Keepers.
- Enclosed shoes must be worn during the encounter
- Only paying participants will be able to attend this encounter
- This encounter does not include park entry

Frequently Asked Questions
No, our animal encounter prices do not include general admission to the Park. Admissions tickets can be purchased in your checkout.
Our Alligator Encounters can be booked for people ages strictly 18+.
Suitable and comfortable clothing and footwear must be worn on the day. We recommend long pants to avoid any scratches.
If at the time of your encounter there is extreme weather or other conditions, the encounter will be cancelled to ensure the wellbeing of our animals.
